Robert Clifford (YELKATŦE) is a WSÁNEĆ legal scholar and member of the Tsawout First Nation, as well as the Co-Academic Director of Indigenous Legal Studies at Peter A. Allard School of Law, University of British Columbia. Professor Clifford's work centres on community-grounded WSÁNEĆ law, Indigenous legal theory, and the responsibilities of engaging Indigenous law within contemporary systems.

 

His talk will offer insight into how Indigenous legal orders are lived, practiced, and carried forward through land, language, and community.
