What We Can Do

Students in our family division are able to provide information and advice to clients on a variety of family law issues, including:

  • Decision-making and time with children (formerly custody and access)
  • Child support
  • Spousal support
  • Restraining order

We provide a range of services including summary advice, negotiation, and representation at the Ontario Court of Justice. For cases that are or will be filed with court, we are only able to assist at matters before the North Toronto Family Court at 47 Sheppard Avenue East.

What We Don't Do

We are unable to assist with the following family law issues:

  • Divorce 
  • Division of property
  • Child protection (Children’s Aid matters)
  • Birth and adoption
