Current Projects
“Understanding the Assessment of Animal Suffering and the Evaluation of Monetary Penalties Under the Canadian Health of Animals Act” is a research initiative led by the Animal Law Program. The project brings together Angela Fernandez, Krystal-Anne Roussel, Kira Berkeley, Andrew Stobo Sneiderman, and Becca Williams to examine how animal suffering is assessed and how monetary penalties are determined under Canada’s federal animal health regime.
Our research team presented this project at the 2025 Animal Law and Advocacy Conference.
