Tailor Your Experience

LLM students design their own learning experience by choosing their preferred balance of thesis work and coursework. With three streams and four concentrations available, you can create a more or less research-intensive program and pursue your degree with or without a concentration. This flexibility lets you tailor the program to match your specific interests and career goals.

At the heart of both the thesis coursework streams is a commitment to providing students with a intellectual environment that offers extraordinary mentorship, rigorous academic training, outstanding classmates and peers, and an opportunity to engage with, and contribute to, the academic vigor of the law school.

Explore our concentrations

The LLM program can be pursued with or without a concentration. We currently offer  four areas of focus our students can pursue in thesis-intensive or coursework-only formats.

Join a Collaborative Specialization

Through established partnerships LLM students can access collaborative programs across the university to gain a interdisciplinary perspective. We currently offer four collaborative specializations: Bioethics, Global Health, Jewish Studies, Sexual Diversity Studies, and Women and Gender Studies.
