Leading-edge conferences ensure that the law school stays relevant and engaged in continuing legal developments that have an impact on society. Jackman Law sponsors or hosts several conferences each year, bringing together faculty, students, leading scholars from around the world, and members of the wider community to discuss contemporary issues. The Jackman Law's Professor Anthony Niblett, is pictured above.

Distinguished scholars from around the world deliver a number of thought-provoking lectures at the law school each year, covering subjects from technology to politics to critical theory in law, and bring leading experts in many fields to speak to law school students and faculty. Professor Michele Bratcher Goodwin of Georgetown University, pictured above, gave the David B. Goodman Lecture in 2025.

Supplementing its traditional in-class learning, the Faculty sponsors many workshop series and seminars over the course of the academic year, where scholars present and discuss current research and developing ideas. They are presented by notable and upcoming scholars in law and other disciplines from across Canada and around the world.
