Academic Handbook

The Graduate Program Academic Handbook is your reference guide to the Faculty of Law 's graduate policies and procedures.

This handbook is informed by several important principles:

  1. The Faculty applies its policies in a manner that maintains academic standards and contributes to its overarching goal of academic excellence.
  2. The Faculty is sensitive to issues of diversity and equity. Its policies are designed to set consistent procedures and standards at the law school while recognizing that equity and fairness may sometimes require flexibility and variation.
  3. The Faculty makes every effort to ensure that its policies are transparent and readily accessible to students. The Faculty encourages students to raise matters of concern in the knowledge that privacy and confidentiality will be respected.
  4. The School of Graduate Studies is the Registrar for all graduate programs at the university. Graduate students at the law school are bound by - and our policies in some cases informed by - SGS policies, procedures, and regulations.
