Imran Ahmad is a senior partner and head of technology (Canada) and co‑head of cybersecurity & data privacy, based in the firm’s Toronto and Montréal offices. Imran is recognized by leading legal directories as a leading cybersecurity and privacy lawyer and advises boards, C‑suite executives, and in‑house legal teams on complex matters involving technology, cyber risk, data protection, and artificial intelligence.

Imran’s practice focuses on cybersecurity, privacy, and technology transactions. Imran regularly advises on cross‑border mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, and digital transformation initiatives, with particular expertise in cyber risk, data governance, and regulatory exposure. Imran is frequently retained as breach counsel in significant multi‑jurisdictional incidents and leads response efforts involving regulators, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.

Imran also advises on Canadian privacy and data protection law, cross‑border data transfers, and enterprise‑wide governance programs.
