
Kendra Naidoo
Kendra Naidoo is Senior Legal Counsel in the Office of University Counsel (OUC) at the University of Toronto, where she has been practicing as in-house counsel since 2022. In this role, Kendra provides legal advice and strategic guidance to senior administrators across the University on a wide range of complex issues in the areas of administrative law, health law, human rights, risk management, and litigation. Prior to joining the University, Kendra was in-house counsel at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, where she provided advice to clinicians and senior leaders with respect to health law and mental health law and represented the hospital and its healthcare practitioners before a wide variety of administrative tribunals, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. Kendra has a passion for teaching, having instructed extensively on health law, administrative law and human rights, including lecturing for medical residents in the Department of Psychiatry at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and serving as past Course Director for the Osgoode Professional Development Certificate in Mental Health Law. Kendra has been supervising and mentoring summer and articling law students for over 13 years and is currently the Lead for the OUC’s Articling Student Program. A proud University of Toronto alum, Kendra completed her HBSc in Health & Disease at the University of Toronto. She completed her JD at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law prior to working as a Summer Student, Articling Student, and Associate in the Health Law Group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.
