Emily Marrocco
Emily is currently Crown Counsel at the Crown Law Office --Criminal where she practises in the appeals group. After spending one year as an associate at a large Bay St firm, she became an Assistant Crown Attorney in 2002 and worked first in Peel Region and then in the Toronto Guns and Gangs Unit. Emily has appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario and at the Supreme Court of Canada as an intervener. She has conducted dozens of trials, both jury and judge alone, and argued numerous appeals in indictable criminal matters. Emily has prosecuted a range of offences, including homicide, human trafficking, firearms and drug trafficking, internet child exploitation, sexual violence, and youth and criminal organization offences. She took the Trial Advocacy Course as a student at U of T and has been an instructor since 2010. She is also Co-Director of the Ontario Crown Attorneys’ Association Summer School Trial Advocacy Course. Emily is the Mooting Advisor to the Arnup Cup Team.
