Role: Adjunct Professor - Adjunct Professor and Tax Counsel-in-Residence

Geoffrey Turner (BA (Hons) (Queen’s, gold medal in economics) 1988, LLB (Toronto) 1991, LLM (Osgoode) 2005), is a Toronto-based tax lawyer recently retired from Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, where he practiced tax law for 35 years.  Mr. Turner currently teaches International Taxation and Corporate Income Taxation and previously taught Canadian Income Tax Law (2021-2025) at University of Toronto Faculty of Law.  He also taught Taxation of Business Enterprises at Osgoode Hall Law School (2017-2025) and International Tax Law at Western University Law School (teaching award of excellence in 2001 and 2007) and at Osgoode, and from 2005 through 2017 was part of the Davies team teaching Osgoode’s advanced business law workshop.  Geoffrey is a regular speaker and writer on tax policy matters, and serves as a director on several non-profit boards.
