Acting Assistant Dean, JD Program

Yukimi Henry assumed the role of Acting Assistant Dean, JD Program effective June 17, 2026.  

In this role, Yukimi will manage and oversee many aspects of the JD Program including student services and public interest programs and clinics.

Yukimi is an alumna of Jackman Law, and she also holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. After practicing as a criminal defence lawyer for several years, Yukimi went on to work in international legal development, community social services, reproductive health care, and clinical mental health services. She returned to Jackman Law in the inaugural role of Manager, Academic and Personal Counselling & Wellness. Since then, Yukimi has held senior student services leadership roles within both the college and university sectors, including most recently as the Associate Vice President, Student Experience at Sheridan College. Yukimi has a particular interest and expertise in student mental health, accessibility & inclusion, and trauma-informed lawyering.
