Innovation Law & Technology

Innovation holds the key to unlocking a better tomorrow. It fuels the promise of a future where imagination becomes reality. And the law is a vital part of this promise.

The law can foster innovation – or it can stifle it. How do you regulate AI algorithms that outthink human decision-making? What legal protections should exist for data privacy in a world of constant connectivity? And how do you protect innovative ideas while ensuring a level playing field?

Our innovation and technology law experts explore the intersection between legal systems and technological change. Disruptive innovations like artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology challenge existing legal frameworks – and offer the promise of new frameworks.

Our faculty are recognized as global leaders on these technological and innovation challenges. They shape debates on regulating new technology and how we can use AI in the legal system.

We prepare students to be part of the legal revolution shaping our future. Students here can take courses on topics as diverse as AI regulation, data governance, cybersecurity, IP, and financing tech.
