One-on-one advising
Available in person or virtually, our individual advising appointments are for students who wish for detailed and nuanced career advice. In these one-on-one advising appointments, students may use the time for any of the following reasons:
- in-depth discussion of career goals
- application review (cover letter, resume, etc.)
- development of an individualized recruit strategy
- interview preparation, including mock interviews
- clerkship application and interview support

Group settings
Group sessions are a great way for students to receive information and general advice. For every cohort, the CDO offers a variety of large group sessions, including student and employer panels, as well as smaller group sessions, to inform students about the relevant recruitment opportunities and general advice for students in their year of study. In both large and small group sessions, the information sharing is always accompanied by a Q & A session for the attending students.

Office hours
Before and after every major recruit our advisors set aside time for "Office Hours". Office hours are an opportunity for students to sign up, individually or in groups, for shorter appointments to discuss more pointed or discrete questions or, for office hours scheduled after a recruit, they are an opportunity for students to debrief and reflect on their experiences in a supportive environment.

Peer Connections
The CDO connects 1L and 2L students who are participating in the recruits with 3L students who have already experienced the recruits, in order to provide further insight and guidance. This primarily takes the form of a "recruit buddy" program and informal connections.
