The Jackman Law Faculty at the University of Toronto offers a wide variety of interdisciplinary combined programs – more than any other law school in Canada. Students can save up to one year from the standard time to completion for both degrees.
Students interested in a combined degree program, must separately apply to and be admitted by both programs at U of T.
The Law Faculty's admission decisions are not influenced by acceptance into another combined program. Applicants should submit complete applications to both programs by the law school deadline, although it may be possible to apply to a partner division during their first year in the JD program.

Counting Credits
Credit weights assigned by other U of T faculties/departments cannot be changed and must stand as allocated by that department. There are several administrative reasons for this, including:
- The University of Toronto Transcript is comprehensive. Each faculty/department sets the credit weight for each course on Quercus.
- This weight applies to the course and to every student in the course, therefore, it is not possible for either faculty/department to change the credit weighting for an individual student. Half-year courses are counted as the equivalent of two (2) law school credits. Year-long courses are counted as the equivalent of four (4) law school credits.
