You are invited to connect with us! There are a number of ways for interested employers to engage with current students.
For example, our 60+ Student Clubs often seek legal experts to participate in panel talks, networking sessions and more. We also organize an annual Career Fair and you are invited to express your interest in participating by emailing the CDO (link at the bottom of this page).
Otherwise, advertising a job and/or participating in one of our organized recruits are the best ways to interact with our students.

Employ a Student
To ensure the quality of our services and to better assist students at Jackman Law, the Career Development Office (CDO) has established policies and guidelines for all recruiting activities. Our policies are intended to provide a framework for the professional relationships between employers, students, third party recruiters, and career educators.
Not-for-Profit and Public Interest Organizations
The CDO recognizes that not-for-profit and public interest organizations, which may not be in a position to offer funded roles, provide valuable co-curricular experience for our law students. As such, we are able to post summer opportunities, for which students may apply for funding through Jackman Law via one of our many summer fellowship and internship programs or via external funding.
Paid Summer and Articling Opportunities
For-profit employers who wish to post a paid summer or articling opportunity for our law students must be in a position to offer at least Ontario’s minimum wage and can submit postings through the University of Toronto Law Career Network (UTLC), which is our career platform for students.
Please use the "Sign Up" button on UTLC (law-utoronto.12twenty.com/hire) to register if you are a new employer or log-in if you already have an account with the 12Twenty system that powers UTLC.
Posting an opportunity for our students is free.
