Social Work (JD/MSW)

Students in this combined degree program earn their law degree while focusing on Children and their Families, Human Services, Mental Health, Social Justice and Diversity, Social Work in Gerontology, or  Indigenous Trauma and Resiliency. 

In order to be admitted to this combined degree program, students must independently apply and be admitted to both the Faculty of Law and the School of Social Work. 

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) graduates admitted to the JD/MSW are given advanced standing and are exempted from completing the first year of the master's program (MSW) and are thereby able to complete the JD/MSW program within three years.

This combined program is jointly offered by the law school and U of T’s Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work.
