Topics in Contract Law and Contract Theory

This course invites students to explore contract law and contract theory at a deeper and more advanced level.  There is an incredibly rich and fascinating body of contract law scholarship and several doctrines are currently in the process of being developed or challenged. As part of the course syllabus, students will also read and critically assess chapters from my book, Justice in Transactions: A Theory of Contract Law, and compare the approach it takes with competing approaches. For each topic, there will be a few assigned readings which will be introduced by the instructor or students for general class discussion. Students can choose to write on these or any other topic in contract law or contract theory.
