The Henry N.R. Jackman Faculty of Law is pleased to welcome Josh Lokko (JD/MBA 2020) into the role of Black JD Advisor. In this inaugural role, Josh will play an important part in supporting Black student excellence through providing career advice and mentorship.

"We are grateful to have Josh step into this role. Given his professional background as a lawyer and an entrepreneur, his deep ties to the Faculty and his connections to the broader legal community, he will be central in our mission of inclusive excellence," says Ada Maxwell-Alleyne, Assistant Dean, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the Faculty.

Josh is a 2020 graduate of the joint JD/MBA program at U of T. While a student at Jackman Law, he was active in student leadership and was a founder of the Black Future Lawyers (BFL) program, which he continues to support. Josh regularly volunteers at the law school and serves as a council member of the Faculty's Law Alumni Association (LAA). In 2024, he received an Arbor Award, the highest honour granted by the university for sustained voluntary contributions to U of T.
