Lyon 3 – Jean Moulin University named for the famous WW2 resistance fighter and organizer, offers a wide range of courses. Located in the centre of Lyon – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the second largest university town in France – and in Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain), Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University offers a learning and research space focused on the humanities and social sciences with programmes ranging from two-year foundation degrees to PhDs (Bac +2 to Bac +8). With seven doctoral schools and 19 research units, the University develops interdisciplinary research linked to major social issues. A member of the University of Lyon – Community of Universities and Institutions (COMUE) it is home to more than 27,000 students  

Semester Dates

Fall semester is similar to U of T Law, with classes starting in early September and ending in December.

Credits

24 to 30 ECTS per term of LLM-level courses at Lyon

Additional Information

An intensive French language course will be required during the one week orientation program at the beginning of each semester.  Lyon will also make additional French language classes available to students during the semester, but will not make it a requirement.

Please note that Canadian students need a visa to study in France.
